Temple of Poseidon

Overlooking the Aegean Sea at the end of Cape Sounion, the Temple of Poseidon is, architecturally, a perfect example of a standard early and classical Greek temple. The temple has Doric columns, which were predominantly used until the 5th century when Ionic styles took over.
