The Step Pyramid of Saqqara

The Saqqara (or Sakkara in English) Necropolis is the cemetery area of ancient Memphis, home to a number of tombs and pyramids, including the Step Pyramid. The Step Pyramid is thought to be the oldest major stone structure in Egypt and is the tomb of third Dynasty ruler Djoser, erected by Imhotep.
