Description

The "cascada" (waterfall in Spanish) was first added to the park in 1881 without its ornate sculptures and other details, leading to harsh criticism. Its architect, Josep Fontsére (and tangentially, Antoni Gaudi), sought to loosely remind viewers of the Trevi Fountain.
